Fifth Sign from God: Gold Cross
On July 2, 2022, during his public talk at Christ Cathedral
on Marian Days, Keith presented the fifth and final sign from God to
Bishop Kevin W. Vann. This gift was a gold cross, worn by Keith’s
grandmother for over thirty years, and was the most cherished
offering God had asked him to offer. The cross, given to Keith after
his grandmother's passing on August 9, 2012, is deeply meaningful,
representing a lifetime of memories of her sharing biblical stories
with him from a young age.
A few days before his public talk on Marian Day at Christ
Cathedral, Bishop Vann handed Keith a booklet about Christ
Cathedral from his personal library. Keith kept the booklet in his car
for a few days until his wife, Tracy, asked if he had noticed the
bishop’s coat of arms on one of the pages. Keith was astonished to
discover the five signs from God matched the five symbolic images
on Bishop Vann’s coat of arms: a tree with a stream of water
(illustrating the BFG Handbook), a flower, keys, monstrance, and a
cross. Keith initially had reservations about presenting the cross as
a gift to the bishop, as he intended to hand it down to his children.
Although Keith initially hesitated to present the cross to the bishop,
his wife Tracy emphasized its deep symbolic connection to fulfilling
God’s promise. This encouragement motivated him to present it to
Bishop Vann.
Keith distinctly remembers the moment in 2007 when he
fully committed to embracing the cross and following Jesus. During
this pivotal time, God conveyed a divine message to Keith,
revealing that a clear sign from heaven would appear once he
