prayed fervently for a second chance to fulfill his true calling.
Despite feeling unqualified for the task ahead, he could not ignore
the deep conviction within him to visit the rose garden.
Upon his arrival, he came across Richard, a homeless
man who was sleeping next to Mary’s Rose Garden at the church.
Curious, Keith asked Richard why he was there, and he recalled
Richard politely replying, “I don’t sleep on church property, but for
the past two or three hours, Mary kept waking me up, asking me to
meet her in front of the garden. I know the church security will ask
me to move when they see me sleeping in the halls, but my heart is
not at ease unless I come to see Mary.” This revelation astonished
Keith, as he had received the same request from Mary to meet her
at the garden while praying the Rosary at home.
Keith soon discovered that Richard had an impressive
knowledge of Bible scriptures. Inspired by Richard’s ability to recite
any bible verses, Keith saw this as a divine opportunity to learn
more about the Bible and how to apply its teachings to his life. It
was as if Jesus was speaking to Keith in parables through
Richard’s words. One evening, as Richard shared his insights,
another homeless man passing by was drawn to Richard’s
impressive knowledge of the scriptures and joined their discussion.
Over the course of three months, Keith and Richard met
late in the evening for five-hour sessions, where Keith learned
valuable spiritual lessons. Richard’s teachings deeply resonated
with Keith, reinforcing the importance of prayer in his spiritual
journey. Richard guided Keith through various prayers and
