I would like to give my deepest gratitude to the people who
blessed me in countless ways and helped make my journey easier
as I completed this book. As the process unfolded, I made
friendships that taught me the meaning of love. I am indebted to all
of you for giving me your time and support.
To God: I am deeply grateful and humbled knowing that
You allowed me to write this book. I have failed You countless
times and put other things before You, but You never once turned
away. Now I hope to bring honor to You and to share Your Word to
the world.
To the Virgin Mary: Thank you for interceding in my life on
the night I met Richard at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Los
Angeles. Your presence in my heart at the church garden was so
powerful; it gave me a new outlook on life. Thank you for your love
and continued prayers.
I am truly grateful to be married to Tracy Hoang, who has
loved and supported me for over three decades now. She has
continually put up with my outrageous business adventures and far-
reaching dreams—including this project, which has consumed my
life for the past ten years. Her love, patience, and care for me and
for our five children can only be felt in my heart, not expressed in
words. Tracy is the pillar and force behind all the dreams I have
ever hoped for in life.
